The Human Aspect of Aida
My family and I lived in a city heavily affected during the war in Bosnia and eventually had to flee to stay alive. My connection to home was stolen from me when we were forced to leave our home city. Arriving at our new place became very challenging, and I felt no one understood me nor my losses. My sense of loneliness grew, and I consequently suppressed all my emotions to focus on my new life.
